Day 1: Arrival

Altitude: 1,350 m/ 4,428 ft. (Kathmandu) A representative from Core Treks will come to pick you up at the airport. After that we’ll be taking you to your hotel. We’ll have a short briefing session and feel free to ask any question you might have regarding the trek. If you want to explore the city we might as well walk around the street of Thamel.There’re no further activities for the day so you might as well check into the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara by drive. An hour boating in Phewa Lake

On this day, we will commence our journey to the beautiful city of Pokhara. You have two options for transportation: air travel or a scenic drive. If you choose to fly, the flight duration is approximately 25 minutes, offering breathtaking aerial views. Alternatively, if you opt for a drive, the journey may take around 7 hours, allowing you to relish the picturesque landscapes along the highway.

The decision on how you want to travel depends entirely on your preference. If you enjoy the scenic beauty and want to soak in the landscapes of Nepal, the drive would be an ideal choice. On the other hand, if you prefer a quicker mode of transportation and wish to have more time to relax or explore Pokhara upon arrival, the short scenic flight would be a suitable option.

Day 3: Drive to Nayapul/ trek to Tikhedhunga

Our trekking journey begins on this day as we head towards Hille upon having our breakfast in Pokhara. We’ll be driving for about an hour till Nayapul and from where we start walking. Today, we walk along the bank of river till your destination (Tikhedhunga). Some small waterfalls can be sighted along the way. Today walk comparatively easy day during the trek.  We stay overnight at tea house.

Day 4: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani

We make our journey towards the dense village of Ghorepani on this day. The trail is mostly uphill but it isn’t very hard either. Our trail is filled with verdant forests and some small waterfalls and streams give us company along the way. We then make way towards the stone paved roads to reach Ghorepani. Ghorepani is a beautiful village with Himalayan ranges surrounding it which is an amazing view to behold. We’ll call it a day upon reaching Ghorepani and rest early as we’ll be waking up pretty early the next morning.

Day 5: Ghorepani – Poonhill _ Tadapani

We’ll be waking up at the dawn as we make our way up to the Poonhill hill station to enjoy a great panoramic sunrise view of the Annapurna Mountain range. The view is truly spectacular as the sun kisses the snow capped mountains and the mountain changes its color from white to gold. After spending sometime here, we head back to Ghorepani. After having breakfast, we make our way towards Tadapani. The walk on this day extends up to 6-7 hours as we finally come to our destination for the day, the Tadapani village.

Day 6: Tadapani to Chhomrong

Our walk on this day is mostly downhill as we trek through rhododendron and oak forests. After about 6 hours of trek, we come to the Gurung village of Chhomrong. This will be the final station for the day and we rest ourselves for the rest of the day. We can also enjoy the views of Annapurna South and Fishtail mountain on this day.

Day 07: Chhomrong to Dovan

We further descend toward the Chhomrong River as another precipitous stone staircase guides the way. From here we’ll be climbing upwards as we head towards Sinwa and then another stone-paved staircase down to Dovan.

Day 08: Dovan to Machhapuchhre Base camp

We pass through a bamboo forest which is damp and cold then ascend steadily with a few steep sections. It is only after reaching Himalaya Hotel that the forest opens up and we are out in the sun again with astounding views of the glacial river below. It is a steep climb up through a much drier forest before reaching Hinku . From here we can see the trail drop closer to the river before climbing again to Deurali.(3230m) where you will stop for lunch. From Deorali, you will go to the river bank and follow the narrow path until get to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3703m). Stay overnight at the tea house.

Day 9: Machhapuchhre Base camp to Annapurna Base Camp

After a steady hike on this day, we reach to the Annapurana Base Camp from where excellent view of the fishtail mountain can be witnessed along with Mt Hiunchuli, Annapurna I, Annapurna III and Annapurna South. After bit of a walk from there, we’ll reach to the Annapurna Base Camp beneath the foothills of the 10th highest mountain peak in the world. Afternoon at leisure for the optional short walk around and to immerse with the surrounding scenery. Stay overnight at the tea house.

Day 10: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo

We descend down towards Modi Khola at Bamboo and dropping our elevation to 1700 meters. The area is not as dense as travelers are greeted with cold breeze where travelers can also find a bit of a solitude. We’ll call it a day upon reaching Bamboo.

Day 11: Bamboo to Jhinu Dada

We begin our day with walking to Chhomrong and pass through Kalgidhar. As we approach Chhomrong, the trail descends down towards Jhinu Danda where there’s also a hot spring by the river bank which is an amazing place to be. This place really is something of a treat on our hard walk.

Day 12: Jhinu Dada to Siwai to Pokhara

After having our breakfast we trek towards the town of Siwai as it will also be our last walk of this trekking journey. After walking for about 3 hours we reach to Siwai from where we’ll drive back to Pokhara. We’ll spend the evening in the lakeside Pokhara and enjoy its nightlife as we head back to Kathmandu the next day.

Day 13: Pokhara Sightseeing & in the afternoon fly back to Kathmandu.

After breakfast, We will visit few major places in Pokhra then we fly back to Kathmandu.

Davis Falls
locally known as Patale Chhango and in the southern flank of the Pokhara valley is where the stream flowing from Phewa Lake collapses and surges down the rock into a deep gorge, leaping through several potholes. This is hugely popular with tourists and locals alike.

Gupteshwor Cave
The revered Gupteshwor Cave is situated 2 kms from Pokhara airport. The entrance is right across from Davis Falls and the cave is almost 3 kms long. It has some big hall-sized rooms and some passages where you have to crawl on all fours. This cave holds special value to Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition it was discovered.

International Mountain museum

The international mountain museum in pokhara has stunning collection of artefacts, original gears, stories, and photographs of the mountain and inhabitants and the explorers who climbed highest peak in the world. The museum gives us the description of the people living in the Himalayan region and 14 highest peak and their most famous expeditions. Every section of the museum is designed to highlight commendable accomplishments of famous mountaineers in the majestic Himalayans and around the world.

After having lunch we drive to Pokhara airport to take our plane to fly back to Kathmandu. We see enchanting scenery from the plane, After 20 min flight we will arrive in Kathmandu then we drive to Hotel in Kathmandu.

 

Day 14: Departure

Our travel journey has now come to an end as we say our goodbyes and take you to the Tribhuvan International Airport 3 hours prior to your flight time. We’ll come to pick you at your hotel and a representative will drive alongside you up till the departure gate at the airport.

Day 15: Departure Day

The day has come and after bidding our goodbyes a representative from CoreTreks will transport you to Tribhuvwan International Airport around 3 hours before your flight departure.
